Something to consider when installing new plugs
When installing new plugs we suggest you always wrap the wires around the screws of the plug. Simply sticking the wires in the back slots is time saving and it is an approved method of installation. In some cases this works okay; however we have been to numerous trouble calls where the customer has power issues because of this. The connection in the back of the plug gets loose over time with normal use. This results in arcing as the connection between the circuits makes and breaks. Causing power to go out in the rest of the circuit and posing as a fire hazard.
These pictures indicate the severity of a loose connection in the back of a plug over time.
